A Letter From Jim Morris
I'd like to thank all of the wonderful people who have brought me in to speak to their groups. I am blessed every time that I get the opportunity to motivate and inspire others to attain their goals. I still feel like I'm a school teacher, like I was back in Big Lake Texas, it's just that my classroom has gotten bigger, particularly when you're speaking in front of thousands of people! The highlight for me is when I get to meet people one on one at the events. That's the best. I really like hanging out with people. If you want someone slick, then I'm probably not your guy but if you want someone who is a polished speaker and has a dry sense of humor and loves people, then I am your guy.
If I haven't paid you a visit yet, I can promise you something very unique: listening to an ordinary guy who had something extraordinary happen to him because of a group of kids and in turn, served as a source of inspiration and motivation for those kids to achieve their dreams too. My life story serves as a roadmap to inspire and motivate others not to give up on their dreams and for people to work together as a team to achieve goals, whether they be corporations, families, schools, charities, associations, churches, and people of all faiths. If you want to reward a group of sales people who achieved their goals or you're trying to motivate your group to achieve their goals, I'd love to fire them up. If you want me to do a commencement address for your school, I love inspiring young people too. If you are people of faith, I'm not bashful about sharing my faith with others, but I'm respectful of the faith of others. If you're trying to raise money for a big project, I'd love to help you there. I helped a private school raise $110,000.00 for its scholarship fund once. If you've got a hot stove event for your baseball team, then I can help you out.
If you want me to do some radio interviews to advertise your event beforehand, I'd be happy to do anything to help make your event a big success. It's pretty cool to have a Disney film starring Dennis Quaid made about your life. For one, for the rest of time, people will think I'm good-looking! Seriously, we all need to learn how to laugh at ourselves a little bit more, and to get the most out of every life experience, whether it be work, faith, or family. And don't forget to listen to your kids--they will inspire you just like they inspired me to take a chance and not to be afraid of being successful.
